Somehow I want to do a translation on my own, I don't have much knowledge about Japanese, I'm just one of average guy that watch anime for a long time. These series kick my eye since it has something similar as Mushoku Tensei.
So you should just know that,

A young Japanese man dies from a traffic accident and reincarnated in an alternative world into a pretty young boy Ernesti Echavalia with his memory from past life which is full of robot love. In this new world that has a giant robot "Silhouette Knight", Ernesti AKA. Eru plan to pilot robot which causing a new history.

1. If anyone found the other translation on this series, plz do tell me, like everyone, I'm also want to know the rest of story. and prefer to be a reader instead become a translator.

I did not "steal" or "pick it" it. When i start to do this on May, Sky already stop translation, When he resume at it again, I'm stop translation on vol.3...
And..
Now it you turn to listen to my opinion about this,
Sky have 2 main translation release weekly which is Overlord and Altina....
Both of them require tremendously effort and time to spare in order to do it weekly.
Now if you plus the K&M Arc 5 that he only spent a month (Arc5 have 200 page)
just how much do you think sky spent time on translation daily???
...I know how much time require to translate 1 page...
And people still begging.... only begging...
I'm not that shamelessly to beg him....
I'm grateful that he continue to do translation like other reader but i will not ask more of him...
And please try to read all the comment in K&M topic in Sky blog, you will found out that sky piss off at some point since someone just "bossing" than "begging".
Also this is very important " I'm Not Sky Successor" , at least try to read all statement i made on this blog.
And I'm don't think that i need to be Pro.English to do translation. since a lot of people who claim to be pro on English at me did not do anything but begging. Act so High & Mighty.

Right off the bat, right here you got a run-on sentence. If you complete just a single year of English in middle school, you should know this. Also the use of "somehow" in the situation is wrong. "Somehow I want to do translation". I think you're thinking of, "For some reason.". Somehow is nonsensical, and it makes no sense in context of this sentence.

First off, capitalize your I's. That's shouldn't be hard right? You got a built in grammar checker, so it shouldn't be hard to identify those squiggly lines right? "I'm just one of average guy". So no, "guys," huh? It's just a single guy? You're just one of average guy. Read that aloud. This is important. When you proof-read your own work, you have to read it aloud to fully understand if it reads right.

Again, run on sentence. There is many ways you can change this sentence so it would flow nicer by adding semi-colons, or changing up how the sentence flow by moving a few words around. Make it readable. Also. STOP CHANGING TENSES. "A young japanese man die". That means he just died. Right now. If you wrote, "died, which the event it's referencing to is in the past, it would work. In should be changed to into. He's reincarnated into a new whole, not in a new world. He is reincarnated AS, not into someone. He reincarnated as a person, not taking over an existing body. Last part is fine, but probably would be fitting to change robots into mechas or something similar.
In this new world that have a giant robot "Silhouette Knight", Ernesti AKA. Eru plan to pilot robot which causing a new history.
Present. Past. Future. Get this through your mind. "have, has, had.". What do you think fits here? "Causing, caused, will cause.". What fits here?
Jesus. Is your native language even English? When shitty translator pick up projects, it further discourages actual real, and good quality translator from picking up the series. Why would I translate for K&M if there is already shitty translations that people seemingly worship? I don't know man. If you're a true fan, I'd leave K&M alone. Let the real translators do their work, and appreciate that. What you're doing is just bad. Plain bad, and anybody who reads what you shit out should be ashamed.
You even admit that you don't know much about Japanese, and it's clear that you don't even know much about English.
What do you hope to accomplish by translating two languages you don't even fully understand?
Indeed, I learn English at mid-school but i think it was 20 years ago, so my brain would abandon anything that it did not use. Since I don't need to use English daily in my country. the rest remaining that being use is my reading skill but that thank to my hobby that read English text. it not like everyone in the world gonna be pro at grammar even they talk english.

3. I don't think anyone gonna boost about they good at Japanese if they are not real Japanese citizen. since even the most real Japanese still can't remember the entire common 1800 word of Kanji.
And it seem that there are some people understand what i'm trying to translate since most of them notice me about English grammar but no one question about translation content.

This is a hobby for everyone involved. The readers have it as a hobby, that's why they are reading. The Translators has it as a hobby, that's why they translate. That doesn't mean the translator can be sloppy, and ignore obvious grammar or spelling errors. Take a little pride in what you do. Why can't you release high quality translations? Is it because this is just a hobby to you? What about other high quality translators? Is it a job to them? No. It's also a hobby. However they have standards for what they release, why don't you?

DeleteIn the first place Baka Tsuki is just a site where people aggregate popular translation projects so I don't think people call themselves a "Baka-Tsuki translator", and it doesn't have a very good reputation right now due to some mess with licensing web novels vs light novels and what not...
As for your translations, if you want to do it in English, I think you should take a few English courses to have a better grasp of grammar.
P.S. I am happy that Sky dropped K&M because now Gifting will get updates!
Well. I don't know why other people are being so rude about it (Seriously, making a statement is fine but just insulting others is plain nasty) so I will just say it plainly. Skythewood (http://skythewood.blogspot.sg/) is translating this so if you have started this without informing him then please stop. Also, you don't seem to have a very good comprehension of English. So if you are starting this WITH permission then please either get someone fluent in English to proofread your work, or study up more on the English language before you continue. Thank you for translating this so far.

I'm pretty sure that's what you were after with your comment? If you stopped getting angry, at every comment, and/or understood english...(yes now I'm actually angry). Get help=editor. You need one, that's what we are asking of you, go to reddit/LightNovels and request one, you'll find helpers. If noone responds, then Noone can say anything, hobby or not, you can't say you aren't potentially affecting fans of this with your releases. The reason sky has main trans of other LN that are popular is because they are that damn good. Period. That contributes to those being popular translations in the first place. Not just HQ but top of the line. Good luck to you really like this story but I doubt I'll follow it here. Sorry. But you really need English help. Delete-what I'm translated here depend on what material that I had (JPN) , Name and Titles are base on the Kanji, I don't know about CHN version but some word are clearly different from Katakana and Kanji
-I'm already lost count about people who ask me to find Editor since it easy to talk but the reality is harsh. That why I made a clearly warning before anyone read it. I'm really grateful that there are some people left a suggestion to fix the translation but i can't bind or pay anything in return. so that the thing was.

If sky resume again, I'm believe that i don't need to do much anyway since his speed are extremely fast to the point that release multiple chapter per week. Majority of the comments are complaining at how the English structure is not to their taste. Please stop complaining, if you want something done, do it yourself and help BD with the English. Other people also did the same on Sky's blog and input their own corrections. If your here to read, then read. Be grateful that at least K&M is still getting released and in English though it's not the best. I'd like to offer my assistance on this project since it's what I want to do but I can't guarantee to always be available. ReplyDeleteIt was actually licensed in my country but it never release vol2+ for some odd reason. And the publisher keep trolling fans by promising it releases but never specified the date. It is 2years since the 1st volume came out here in Thai ToT.
I will definitely buy it when more volumes come out. This is one of my most favorite LN.
But for now, let this lost sheep stay on your page for a (possibly very long) while.
